Our Materials and Inks
We know our products are used in an environment that is very precious.
Our certified waste stream management ensures we recycle as much as possible. We have 100% re-use of the major raw materials including: plastics, foil, paper and cardboard.
All the Floramedia stock labels are produced to the highest quality.
In 2022 we made the decision to print all reprints and new plastic stock labels on Polypropylene (PP). PP holds improved credentials while ensuring we get the best performing label versus the best sustainable option. PP has an increasing ease in the UK recycling system for consumers and this was a main driver when moving over from Polystyrene (PS) labels.
Polypropylene (PP)

The inks on our materials
All Mineral oil components have been removed from our UV inks and replaced with Vegetable oils, making our inks a lot more environmentally friendly than most other conventional options.
Our UV inks are environmentally friendly compared to conventional inks by the complete absence of
mineral oil components, which are replaced by vegetable oils.

*The impacts of covid and plastic consumption has challenged robust sources of recycled content and while we strive to have a minimum of 30% recycled content in all PP we’re limited by availability.
